Year 2 have have been practising how to use a needle and thread safely to create a running stitch. The children carefully followed their design brief to make a small pouch. They used a template to make sure their fabric was the correct size before cutting it out.
The children then used a running stitch to join the fabric pieces together. They showed great concentration and resilience while sewing, making sure their stitches were neat and even. Finally, they added their own decorative touches to personalise their pouches.
They all look fantastic, and the children worked incredibly hard to complete their finished products.
