We ask that the only item that should be branded with the badge must be our school jumper or cardigan (though your child will not be penalised should they wear an unbranded item). These are available from the following stockists:

Whitakers - 35-39 London St, Southport PR9 0UY

Zips n Snips - 77 Eastbank St, Southport PR8 1DG

All other items can be bought from these stores; alternatively, supermarket own brands are equally fine.

The main item, additional to the list above, which your child will find useful is a book bag. These are stocked at the 2 shops above but you do not need to use one of these stockists. They are handy for transporting reading books, reading records, letters and other items as your child moves through school.

Should you be struggling to afford school uniform or find it difficult to locate an item, please do not hesitate to contact school. We keep a stock or pre-loved uniform in stock in school - including shoes and book bags - some of which is new. On occasions during the school year we will make our stock available to peruse should you need additional items but please always ask confidentially through Mrs Bond in the office; myself on the gate or our Pastoral Support Advisor, Ms Bishop if you require anything.

Alternatively, a local charity - Compassion Acts - stocks uniform supplies for all schools across Southport and the surrounding area. They are based at
Victoria Centre, 197a Sussex Road, Southport PR8 6DG and are open from 10 - 3 on weekdays.

We are always delighted to receive any uniform in good condition that has been outgrown or is no longer required. Donations can be made though any member of staff.

P.E lessons and Clubs

Children can come into school in their P.E. kit on days they have PE; class teachers will notify you regarding which day kit will be required in September.  A reminder that our school P.E. kit consists of:

·         White T-Shirt (with or without badge)

·         Black shorts

·         Trainers or pumps

·         School Jumper is fine if cold outside

Plain tracksuit trousers or leggings (black) may be worn for outdoor lessons during winter along with a plain dark jumper or hoody but, once again, school jumpers or cardigans are also fine.

If a child is attending an after school club then they will be able to change into appropriate clothing after school if necessary. This is particularly pertinent for clubs such as football where children may wish to wear kit.  Children should not wear football kits for P.E. in school time unless specifically instructed to by teachers.

Please ensure that all uniform is clearly labelled with your child’s name. This is vital if something is misplaced. If writing names in pen, please check it can be read regularly. We just do not have time to check up to 30 cardigans and jumpers regularly and you would be amazed at the locations we find items of clothing that have been taken off!

Jewellery is limited to watches and stud ear rings please.  Children should be able to remove the latter themselves for PE lessons ideally.  If you are considering piercing your child’s ears whilst in the Juniors it may be worth checking the dates of swimming sessions as Active Aquatics (who run the sessions) DO NOT allow swimmers to wear ear rings.  This is their policy which we must adhere to.

We also ask that longer hair is tied back or pulled back for all aspects of school please – for both boys and girls.

Thank you for your assistance in keeping to our expectations of uniforms in school.  Please remember the number one rule which is to NAME everything (and check regularly if written in pen) as it gives us a far better chance of reuniting misplaced items with owners.  Please let me know if you have any questions.
