Sport and Clubs

Below is the overview for after school clubs this term.

This year we will be using School Spider for you to register your child for clubs. This is the same system you will have have registered for to book appointments at parent's meetings. Clubs for Reception children will start after Christmas.

To ensure that we are continuing to offer a broad range of clubs for different classes across the year, there will be a charge for children to attend each week. Please see the attached letter from Mr Thomson.

At St John's we thoroughly enjoy participating in a range of sports and clubs throughout the year. Staff lead a wide variety of clubs and we are always open to suggestions! Our latest clubs timetable can be found below...

Our teams are very active in local leagues and we enter as many events as we can during the school year - football, netball, sportshall athletics, tennis, cricket, lawn bowls, boccia, cross country are just a few of the events we have attended this year! We have developed excellent links with Stanley High School and with coaches from North Meols Tennis Club and Fleetwood Hesketh Cricket Club.

We receive funding (Sport Premium) from the government to assist in the provision of PE and sport at St. John's.

Please click on the report to find out more about how we spend our funding!

We are also required to report on swimming and the percentage of children who leave our school having achieved the expected outcomes of the National Curriculum.
