School Opening Hours – 2025/26
At St. John’s Church of England Primary School, we are committed to ensuring that all parents and carers have clear information about the school day. Below are our official school opening hours.
Event | Time |
Gate opens and day starts. Leadership welcome children into school and teachers are available to chat to if required. Reception children are taken to their classroom door by parents whilst teachers come out to greet all other classes. | 8:40 am |
School day ends. Reception through to Year 4 are brought outside by teachers who dismiss them to parents. Years 5 and 6 are dismissed directly from the classroom and make their way out independently. | 3:10 pm |

Additional Information
Our breakfast club, after-school club (FAST – Fun After School Time) and teacher-led extra-curricular clubs provide wraparound care for families who need it. These are optional and not included in the total school hours.
