DT- Free Standing Structures

In Year 2, our Design and Technology project focused on creating a free standing structure, specifically designing and building beds for Mr. Bear. We used card and recycled cardboard to construct our designs, carefully following a design brief that guided us through the process. To make the legs of the bed, we rolled the card into cylinders and added tabs to securely attach them to the base. Our main criteria was to ensure the bed was strong enough to hold Mr. Bear and big enough for him to rest comfortably. After completing our projects, we evaluated our work, reflecting on what went well and what we could improve in the future.
