Year 6 - Making Bread
Class: Year 6 Year: 2025 - 2026
Year 6 loved their bread making topic. They started by tasting different types of bread to understand flavours, textures and what makes a product appealing. This helped them think like consumers before becoming designers. Next, they interviewed their buddies, who acted as our target users, to find out their preferences and what they would want in a bread product. Using their feedback, they created a prototype, experimenting with ingredients, shapes and baking techniques. Finally, they evaluated and improved their work to produce a finished product that met the needs of our users, showing the full journey from research to design and production. Shair their bread with their buddies was possibly the best part!! Some children even mastered a gluten-free recipe!!
